Get ready for sweet…but not cloying!  Whenever my multi-week Wine101 class has the dessert wine night scheduled, I always inform the students to be ready for sweet the next week, but invariably for many the level of sweetness is still a surprise.  With many of these wines, you can actually enjoy them AS dessert just by themselves, rather than pairing them WITH dessert, although that is always a fine option also, of course.
