A 5-week class designed for the wine novice.  Discover a wide variety of foreign and domestic wines, both red and white.  One evening will be dedicated to sparkling and dessert wines.  Learn the 5 S’s of wine tasting, the 4 taste zones of the tongue, the aroma wheel, the basic grape varieties, and much more. 

Instructor Len Gulino, The Wine Tutor, has conducted beginner and advanced wine tasting classes around Connecticut since 1988.  Working with adult education programs, wine retailers, professional organizations, and private social groups, he has instructed more than 2,000 people in the basic techniques of wine tasting and appreciation.  With formal wine certification from Napa Valley’s Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, he uses his expert presentation skills and humor to demystify wine and promote its pure enjoyment.
