Distinctive Wine Regions: The Iberian Peninsula (1 of 2) - Harry's Wine, Fairfield

Spanish wines are an intriguing mixture of old and new - winemakers are combining traditional grape varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Carinena with ‘international’ grape varieties to produce stunning new wines.  To the west, Portugal is producing more dry dinner wines of top quality, and is no longer known “just” for their great Port dessert wines.  Our tasting travels through these two venerable wine regions will introduce you to a wide variety of wines, many of which are lesser known but are exciting to taste and become familiar with.  $60 both weeks
